Secondary Menu with Child Theme

I am trying to use a secondary menu with the standard child theme for generatepress I download from this site but it won't show. If I switch to the main generatepress theme it shows up fine.
I am using the child theme zip I download from this site, with no modifications.

I couldn’t replicate the issue from my end.
Can you check if modifying the Navigation Location in Appearance > Customize > Layout > Secondary Navigation would make a difference?:

Can you also confirm if a Secondary menu is set in Appearance > Customize > Menus?

Thanks, I found the issue. There was CSS in the customizer that was causing it, strange thing is it only showed when using the child theme which I thought was strange since other CSS code is added to both child and parent when using the site library.

Glad you were able to figure out what’s causing the issue. With regards to CSS acting strange, one potential factor I could think of is if you have a caching mechanism in your website. Feel free to reach out anytime if you'll any assistance with anything else. :)
