The Navigation Search Box on my staging site seems to be broken.
Whenever I type anything in it, it takes me to another site.
How can I solve this?
P.S. Please don’t disclose my site in forums.

May 27, 2020 at 11:08 am #1303896LeoStaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Any chance you can disable all plugins except GP Premium to eliminate conflicts from other plugins first?
Let me know 🙂
May 27, 2020 at 11:10 am #1303900TibsI’ve disabled all of the plugins except for GP Premium and the problem is still there:
Whenever I search in the navigation search box, it takes me to other site.
May 27, 2020 at 11:13 am #1303904LeoStaffCustomer SupportThis cannot be a theme issue. The search you are using is a WordPress search as well.
Have you added any custom functions at all?
May 27, 2020 at 11:16 am #1303906TibsI only added custom CSS in customize options.
Would you like for me to create you an account on the site?
May 27, 2020 at 11:18 am #1303912LeoStaffCustomer SupportThis isn’t something the theme support can help unfortunately.
Do you get the same issue if you activate a twenty series WP theme to test?
I would recommend checking with your hosting support to see if there are some redirect set up.
May 27, 2020 at 11:21 am #1303917TibsNegative.
Whenever I activate Twenty Series theme and use search function, it works perfectly.
May 27, 2020 at 11:26 am #1303921LeoStaffCustomer SupportThe theme itself really has no way of redirecting the search (it has no idea what that other URL is) – our support forum would be flooded with this issue if that’s the case.
Can you disable all plugins in the staging site and let me have a look?
Please also activate a parent theme if you are using a child theme.
May 27, 2020 at 11:48 am #1303951TibsSure!

May 27, 2020 at 11:55 am #1303959LeoStaffCustomer SupportI just checked your site and didn’t see the previous search bar so I added a search widget inside the header widget area and searched for “rifle” and it functions correctly without redirection.
Can you give it a shot?
May 27, 2020 at 12:38 pm #1303999TibsI tried it and it doesn’t work. Could you check again?
May 27, 2020 at 1:17 pm #1304041LeoStaffCustomer SupportNot sure if I understand.
Looks like all the plugins are enabled again.
When I tested it last time, all the plugins were disabled and there was no search bar visible so I added a search widget in the header widget area.
I then typed Rifle as keyword to search and everything worked correctly.
Did you test that out?
May 27, 2020 at 1:58 pm #1304093TibsI think I found the problem, Leo.
Whenever I deactivate all plugins and use search box, it works.
However, when I activate only 1 plugin (GP Premium) and use search box, it takes me to the other site.
Could it be possible that the other site is using same license key or something?
May 27, 2020 at 2:01 pm #1304096LeoStaffCustomer SupportThere is nothing in GP Premium which has any redirection setup.
Have you considered that the Navigation Search Box you’ve added as a hook element is the issue?
