Scrolling effect - jumpy in firefox, slow in chrome
5 replies · Started by Dan on November 3, 2021
Hey there.
When I link to #anchors this happens:
In Firefox, it will scroll down and then jump up/back down.
In Chrome you have to wait like 2 seconds and then it just jumps down.
I looked into it from an Elementor side and apparently there can be issues with Elementor scrolling + other themes?
Any ideas on how to resolve this? Maybe not a GeneratePress thing?
Hi there,
It's likely an Elementor issue.
Have you checked with their support team first?
I sent them a support ticket but they usually take years to get back, and I'm worried they will just tell me the same thing I found on Google (that is, blame the theme lol).
You guys are responsive so I thought I would ask if it was theme related.
Thanks.
The easiest and only method to determine if an issue is theme-related is to activate a Twenty series WP theme to test.
Oh good call. Let me go test that and see what it is!
Meantime I found a work-around in case anyone else having issues = I downloaded Easy Smooth Scroll Links and set the scroll effect to easeInQuint - it says this is the default effect, but it isn't until I select this and save that things start work normal!
Sounds good :)
