    Hi!
This topic is perhaps outside the normal scope of support, but I thought I’d give it go – just to see if you guys have any input or experience to share.

I currently use a SaaS called Clickfunnels. In short they provide an easy page builder, where you can integrate a payment gateway (for instance Stripe), and also connect that to an email provider (Convertkit) once a customers makes a successful purchase. It is very easy, to just drag and drop a few fields, give them a designation (First name; Email; etc) and then I can start selling whatever product I connect to that page. I can also add “Up sells”, which basically is another page that is shown to the customer after the first product is paid. The customer can then simply click “Yes – I also want the up-sell product” at which point that amount is drawn from the credit card as well. Then the customer is shown the Order confirmation page, which is dynamically updated with the products chosen (or not) from the previous steps.

There is no “cart” per say, nor any checkout. Please have a look at the picture from one of our sales pages “Sales page Smidbleen”. You can also have a quick look at the live page if you’d like http://www.smidbleen.dk/bog or if you want to view an english version: https://www.hellopottytraining.com/program (although that page has got the credit card form on a different page)

Can that kind of set-up be achieved with any of the plugins in Premium, or perhaps some other ones that Tom as developed?

    I’m thinking I need:
    Stripe plugin integration.
    Upsell capability.
    Dynamically generated “order confirmation pages”.
Email provider integration (in this case Convertkit).
    Perhaps something else well?

There are options out there – I just want to avoid clogging my site with all kinds of “must have” plugins and shop solutions, in case they slow down the site and thereby slow down our sales.

    Best regards
    Michael

    Hi there,

Can that kind of set-up be achieved with any of the plugins in Premium, or perhaps some other ones that Tom as developed?

As of the moment, Tom isn’t in active development of any e-commerce related plugins. The currently active ones in development and support are:

    GeneratePress (theme)
    GP Premium (plugin)
    GenerateBlocks (plugin)
WP Show Posts + Pro (plugin)

    I’m thinking I need:
    Stripe plugin integration.
    Upsell capability.
    Dynamically generated “order confirmation pages”.
Email provider integration (in this case Convertkit).
    Perhaps something else well?

You’ll need plugins that is specially made for these kinds of things.

Since you’re already using ClickFunnels, perhaps they have recommendations for this as well:

As for stripe integration, check this – Perhaps you find it helpful:

    As for Upsell capability:

    https://help.clickfunnels.com/hc/en-us/articles/360006151454-Add-an-Upsell-or-Downsell-Step

As for pages being “Dynamically generated “order confirmation pages”:

This is usually already applied when payment gateways are integrated. It’s part of security.

    As for “Email provider integration”:
    https://help.clickfunnels.com/hc/en-us/articles/360006380093-Integrating-With-ConvertKit

    Perhaps something else well?

I’m not exactly sure what else to recommend. It really depends on what you think you need for the site.

There are options out there – I just want to avoid clogging my site with all kinds of “must have” plugins and shop solutions, in case they slow down the site and thereby slow down our sales.

Not all plugins are bad. 🙂 Consider trying other plugins and doing tests. 😀

Thank you for your kind reply 🙂

Perhaps it was not clear that I want to find alternatives to Clickfunnels. Everything I wrote in my post was just to explain the functionality of what I am currently using.

But I guess you answered it with the first sentences in your post – that Tom is not working on any type of e-commerce related plugins.

Do you have experience of a solution like Thrive Cart?

Do you have experience of a solution like Thrive Cart?

I actually worked with Thrive Support for a while.

And I was actually thinking of recommending Thrive’s products as the page you’ve linked me to fits their landing page + lead generation count + email integration (mailchimp, etc) + payment gateway. You can even do multiple setups and do A/B tests.

But I’m not sure if their products work well with GeneratePress theme as they have their own legacy themes and/or the newer TTB (Thrive theme builder) edited with their own page builder plugin (Thrive Architect).

    Interesting.
I have looked at ThriveThemes as well, which is actually a separate company from ThriveCart. But it does not make sense to changing our whole theme – we love the simplicity and above all the site loading speed we are getting with GeneratePress 🙂

I just have to dig a bit deeper into alternative solutions, like for instance ThriveCart.

    Thanks 🙂

    Hi there,

just for some other background – many of our community use Thrive Architect, and i have helped integrate Thrive Leads for a few GP built sites. I can say the experience was good, and no theme compatibility issues… that is the beauty of GP, we maintain coding standards so any well coded plugins will work with it.

You may want to ask on our FB community – lots of experienced users there:
