RSS feed contains Featured Image data

Hello,

I notice that in the RSS feed for my site, the <description> contains the data of the Featured Image. That looks odd in my feed reader.

On a wordpress.com hosted blog (that also has a featured image set), <description> contains the first few words/sentences of the post instead.

I could have sworn that it used to work normally until recently. Is this something that has been changed by GeneratePress with the most recent update? Did I screw this up somehow? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for any help
Alexander.

Hi Alexander,

Nothing in GP has changed for that.

I would recommend disabling all plugins except GP Premium to test.

Thank you for the quick response. I investigated and then remembered that I had an old code snippet in place that set the featured image for the feed. Odd. After deactivating that, the feed looks as expected. Mea culpa!

No problem :)
