Luke
Hi
Can you have a look at my right hand sidebar with Most Popular Posts? Don’t you think that the font is too small and the titles are too close to each other? Maybe it won’t be comfortable to click on these posts when using a mobile device? Can you tell me what I can do to make the font a bit bigger and how to create bigger spaces between titles because it seems to me they’re too close to each other?

Hi Luke,
I tested your site here: https://search.google.com/test/mobile-friendly and there seems to be no issues with regards to font size or anything for that matter.
Otherwise, if you want to replace it, may you share temporary admin credentials so we can have an idea of the best approach to do it.
Please use the Private Information field for this: https://docs.generatepress.com/?s=private+information

I played around a bit today with the sidebar with Best Posts and I found out that when I want to add one more position to the list it is always bigger than the rest, the font is bigger and I can’t make it the size of the rest of the positions on the list. Do you know what I should do to make each new position on the list to be of the same size as the rest?
As for the spaces between each position, it should be just like the space in the widget below where it says Articles on This Blog May Contain Compensated Links. Between one line and the other there’s a space and I think such a space would look good between each position in the widget above.

How are you adding this? Can you take a screenshot of the Right sidebar widget in Appearance > Widgets? Or, you can also provide temporary admin access as mention in the previous reply.
Let us know.

You’re using a simple Heading block. Did you add the font-size style manually? It’s manually set to
15px
. Try removing that font-size setting. Then, just set it through Appearance > Typography.Alternatively, you can add GenerateBlocks free plugin and use a GB Headline Block instead. That would be easier control with its wide variety of settings. Reference: https://docs.generateblocks.com/article/headline-overview/

Install this plugin from this site: https://generateblocks.com/install/ ??? I think it’s the easiest thing I can do in this case, isn’t it?

Yes, GenerateBlocks is a really easy tool to use.
You may also just recreate you Headings or remove the font setting. Just don’t set a font. And then, set the font in Appearance > Typography.
Either should work.

Do you have some instructional videos on how to use free Generate Blocks plugin?
One more thing, I decided to edit the sidebar in HTML. I added a few more Posts to the sidebar. My question is how to make the empty space at the top and at the bottom of the widget smaller? Chakra meditation script should be closer to the top of the widget and Inspirational quotes about life should be closer to the bottom of the widget. I think it’s called padding. But where to change it? I would like to do the same with the widget below where it says that the Articles on this blog may contain compensated links.

One more question. Is it possible to change just the Homepage on my blog without changing the whole theme? Do Generate Blocks can be used for changing the Homepage or something else?

StaffCustomer SupportHi Luke,
You can change the widget paddings at customizer > Layout > Sidebars > Widget padding.
Is it possible to change just the Homepage on my blog without changing the whole theme?
What are you trying to change?
September 12, 2022 at 11:47 am #2340910Luke
I’m not changing anything yet. However if I would like my Homepage to look like this https://neilpatel.com/blog/ do I have to change the whole theme or is it possible to do it with just a plugin? Maybe the Generate Blocks plugin can do the job?

StaffCustomer SupportCan you specify which part of the example link you are looking for?
Your homepage is the blog page which is an index page not a static page, so I don’t think you can build it with GB directly.
1. The

part, can be added using ablock element - page hero
.
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/block-element-page-hero/2. The 2 columns of posts can be set at customizer > layout > blog > Columns.
3. The offset can be achieved using some custom CSS.
4. If you want to disable the right sidebar for blog/homepage, go to customize > layout > sidebars > blog sidebar layout, choose
content(no sidebar)

Yes, I was thinking only about creating 2 columns of posts. So I can see that it should be pretty easy. And disabling the right sidebar for a homepage also makes sense.
