Revising Header text on blog page - Artisan starter site
1 reply · Started by Anne on July 31, 2020
I am a total beginner, and have hit an obstacle. I have GP Premium and using the Artisan starter site. On the blog page, the default header text is "Blog", and I cannot revise it to something else. I have changed the name of this page from the dashboard, but "Blog" remains. When looking at an actual post, the post title does appear properly in the header area, but if you go to the blog page from the top menu, it says "Blog". If I go to Elements, there is not a section listed for the blog page, which is where I thought to go to revise the text in that header. Many thanks for guidance to solve this one.
Hi there,
Here is what you need to do:
- Go to Appearance > Elements and edit the Global Page Header.
Go to the Display Rules tab and add Blog to the Exclude field:

- Then create a new header element with this as the content:

My Custom Title

Then go to Display Rules, choose Blog in the Location field.

Let me know if this helps :)
