Reusable Element - Grouping of Blocks
4 replies · Started by James on February 11, 2022
I understand how the grouping of blocks worked and have created a reusable element which has some grouped blocks. I understand that if I change this element in any page or post it will change them anywhere. This I understand. However, what I need is a new reusable element which allow me to change aspects of it. I need a cover image, heading block, and some text. I created a cover image reusable element just fine. However, now if I add that reusable block to a page and then drop onto this cover image a heading and paragraph text element, won't that then change the existing pages using that cover reusable element?
Hi James,
Just to confirm, are you referring to the Reusable block feature from WordPress core?
If so an article like this might help:

I see, yes, it is part of the new core. And all I do is insert the reusable block then convert it to a regular block. Thanks for that, I assumed it was part of blocks from GeneratePress.
Resolved.
No problem :)
