Retrieve deleted custom CSS

Is there any way to retrieve the custom css that was written in the customiser? I deleted it by accident :(

You could try restoring a backup if you have one.

Yes, I thought of that, but I've made quite some changes since the last full backup. So that would be a lot of work just to get the css back. What I'm curious about is; isn't there some file in backup that I can find the css in, copy it, and put it back?

WordPress stored the additional CSS as a post in the database, but it doesn't look like you can access the revisions: https://core.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/38707
