When I look at the browser developer console, while I'm in a mobile view (responsive 290px w), the website still uses a large image. Despite various data-src-img viewports declarations.

Naturally, that triggers properly size images at Google PSI for mobile.

Any ideas?

Hi there,

GP has no control over which image to load, it's a WP thing.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it might be related to the image optimization plugin you are using.

Can you try disabling that plugin to test?

I'm using EWWW, turned it off, CDN as well, still the same.

I just ran a lighthouse test for your homepage, as you can see it's loading the 768px width image:

I'm using the iPhone SE preview, the device width is 375px, and as it's a high-resolution device, the actual resolution would be 375 x 2 = 750px, so it pulls the 768px width image correctly.

Yeah, I'm playing with the Litespeed settings. And it's not due to GeneratePress please consider it solved.
Thank you for the assistance.

No problem :)
