Dilip Kumar
Hey,
I am stuck with a small issue. My featured images are of different sizes but I want to display all my images in 800×400 size on the home page. The images should be cropped proportionately.
I tried setting it in the post header option but that is not working.Regards

StaffCustomer SupportHi Dilip,
Not quite sure what you mean…do all the images have a 2:1 ratio?
Can you provide a link to your site?

Hi Leo,
All images are of different sizes. But I want the featured images that appear on my homepage to be 800px X 400px. This is how my current theme (thesis) shows the images. You should be able to see it at http://thetastesofindia.com/blog
I am working on a local environment right now with Generate Press installed and am designing the theme so that I can export it into the live website.
let me know if you need any other information.
Regards

StaffCustomer SupportThose featured images are not all 800x400px exactly.
When you use the settings in Customizer > Blog > Feature Images, it just crops the image to the the width and height you set if you specify both numbers.
I think the best thing to do is to only specify the Width and leave height as auto so it would be automatically scaled.
Let me know if this makes sense.

Hi Leo,
That is exactly what I was looking for. But I did not see that option under blog. Am i missing something?

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperIt’s called “Post Images” in your version – looks like you have an update available 🙂

I upgraded and then changed the image size in “featured images” but the image size doesn’t change.

StaffCustomer SupportNothing happens when you click Apply image sizes?
It’s working for me. Keep in mind that if your image is smaller than the specified width then it won’t change.

Hey Leo,
You can ignore this issue. It looks like the issue was with the site working locally on my system. When I exported the settings to my live site, it looks fine.

StaffCustomer SupportAre you using any caching plugins? That could be the problem.
Glad you got it working!

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperIt’s possible that your local server didn’t have the required PHP library to alter the images.
Glad it’s working on the live server 🙂
