Replace navigation in Masterheader area
5 replies · Started by Frederique on December 1, 2020
Hi!
Tried to figure out alone but did not find a simple way to replace navigation in #masterheader and not as a distinguished div.
I need navigation to be wrapped in <header> to allow a specific customisation and to be just after .inside-header grid-container but not in.
I want to have a background that cover both header and navigation...
Thanks a lot for your help!
Hi there,
Any chance you can link us to the site in question so I can take a look at your setup first?
You can use the private information field.
Let me know :)
Hello! and thank you for your quick replie:)

We need to add a background image that collapses all the header + navigation together.
I tried some hook with page-hero with success for header but it won't be responsive and nav is dissociated.
I assume <header> would integrate <nav> just in it...
Thanks !!
Hi there,
you can set the Customizer > Layout > Primary Navigation --> Location to Float Right. This will place it inside the header and position it to the right of the logo IF there is room to accommodate it.
You can then add a Background Image to the Header - see here:

Awesome ! Didn't see that option :)
I try it out thx !
You're welcome
