Replace a starter site with another but keep the content

Hello,
I imported a starter-site with its content. I created other content.
I would now like:
- keep content
- hands replace this starter-site by another one but without its content (to keep the one I created).
How should I proceed?
Hi there,
1. Remove any content from your first start-site that you don't require.
2. Remove any CSS from the Customizer > Additional CSS.
3. Reset the theme settings in Dashboard > Appearance > GeneratePress
4. Import your new site.
We recommend you make a backup or do these changes on a Staging size.

But in fact what I rather wanted to do: it was for example modifying the imported theme by also importing "a fixed header on the left side of the page" what is in the theme sider .
