    Hi Tom,

I was just reading this post to learn how to remove author and date of posts.

I was able to do it successfully, but I noticed that the information is still there in the HTML (class entry-meta), only it has display:none in the CSS to hide it. But, of course, anyone with some knowledge of HTML can get to the information.

This is the sort of thing that would be better removed from the HTML, not just hidden, because if we don’t want it shown, we don’t want it known. There could be privacy issues.

This is not a show-stopper for me now, as it isn’t a concern for the site I’m currently building, but I thought I’d comment here so you could consider this improvement, it might be important for other sites, and it might actually make some people feel they were misled by what the option to “hide” offers.

    Best regards,
    Pedro

    Hi Pedro,

Funny you bring this up! The next version of GP Premium/Generate Blog has the option to remove those elements completely πŸ™‚

Maybe you can also add the “Edit” (turn on/off) option (next to date and author) for next GP version. πŸ™‚
