Removing Sidebar from Multiple Articles

Hi Chaps
I have a lot of articles with a sidebar, and I want to set them to full width. I've created a layout element with 800px width, but when I point it to a post it fixes the width but doesn't remove the sidebar. Do I have to go into each post and remove the sidebar, or is there a way I can do it at bulk?

in your Layout Element did you select No Sidebars eg.

If you did and they are still being displayed that it either means the individual posts Layout Metabox is not set to default.
