Hello,

I originally tried working with the free generatepress theme and added my logo, however decided to purchase the pro version and have been working with that, keeping all as draft - have not published anything at any point, however, when my staging site is entered in the url, it comes up as the original .... I have checked pages and posts areas, and cannot locate that page to delete it - kindly assist

I just found this article going over GP Premium and saw when activating Premium the free version remains active, and an extension is added that will bring up the customizations - I have been working with the customizations but as stated above, the original is showing in the URL - could there be a glitch when I updated?

Hi Tali,

Your homepage is the blog page which is the default setting of WP sites.

The blog page is an index page where to show all of your posts, since you haven't published any posts yet, the blog page shows "nothing found".

The index pages are generated automatically by WP, they don't have physical pages that you can edit or delete.

If you don't want the blog page to show as your homepage, go to settings > readings, assign a static page as your front page.

Hi Ying,

Please forgive me, as this is my first website .... there is nothing in the readings area noting anything related to assigning pages as the front page -

If I go to Appearance > Customize > Homepage Settings > there I see settings, which are currently set as a static page …. I named the posts page Home Posts.

In the Customize area I see the website as I have been working on it with the background colors etc that have been customized.
I am going to the Page via Pages to work on the content itself.

Another thing I noticed about what is showing when you go to the url right now, is it not showing the updated logo – it is not at all where I am … I spoke with my hosting provider and they suggested talking to you as it is website development issue – perhaps this is a question for wordpress?

If there is no way to fix this, should I create a new staging site completely?

Can you provide admin access to your site so I can have a better idea of what you are talking about?

I admit I'm a bit lost...lol

Please use the private info field for login info so that it will only be seen by the support team.

Let me know!

lol - so I figured out other issue, and believe at the root I need to get back to the main website location (which has not been worked on) now trying to figure this out - I may start over with that location and delete the staging site ...

If you are going to work on the main site, you can use a plugin to set the site to maintenance mode so that the unfinished sites won't be indexed by search engines :)

thanks!! I can't get into the main site admin at all - have reached out to wordpress support forum - is there a better location to get help?

I think that'll be a question for your host.

lol - will try :)

Keep us updated :)
