Mary
When I purchased Generate Press Premium back in October I decided to use the Dispatch theme from the site library. At this point I would like to remove it and go back to the original Generate Press. I read the article “Removing an Imported Site” but I do not see the prompt “Existing Site Import Detected” nor the button “remove imported site”, as the article states. I then tried manually installing the backup taken in October that was saved to my computer. I got the following error:
The system failed to execute the database script with the following errors: ERROR 1064 (42000) at line 1: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MariaDB server version for the right syntax to use near ‘{“mods”:{“font_body_variants”:false,”font_body_category”:false,”font_site_title_’ at line 1
Can you please help me remove the dispatch import? I am in the process of having ads installed on my site and I need to make sure the theme is correct in order to finish the process.
Thanks so much!

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
The removing imported site option would only show if the site was imported GP Premum 1.9.0 which is released on Nov 20th 2019.
I assume you need to keep the existing content and just get the style from the fresh install?

Yes, keep the existing content but just go back to the original generate press premium with no import from the site library. How can I do that?
Thanks for the quick response π

StaffCustomer SupportEverything will need to be done manually unfortunately.
Let’s try to take one step at the time.
Can you try to un-do everything described in the Dispatch’s documentation?
https://gpsites.co/dispatch/blog/Then remove all the CSS in the Additional CSS field in the customizer.
Then we can take another look to see what else that needs to be done π

I will do my best. What do you mean by un-do everything described? I imagine delete the plugins mentioned…anything else?

StaffCustomer SupportYou can remove the elements as well:
https://gpsites.co/dispatch/hook-elements/
https://gpsites.co/dispatch/page-and-post-heroes/Customizer settings can be reset in Appearace > GeneratePress > Reset Settings.
