[Support request] Removed Widgets appearing on site

Search & Archives widgets appearing On my site on multiple pages when I don’t even have them active under appearance>widgets.

The two I keep seeing on multiple pages is archives and search, on one of the pages just archives.

I’ve made many websites and never seen this happen before.

I’ve rechecked the widget areas under appearance and there’s nothing there.

Can someone help?

PS.. I’ve purged my cache and also only installed premium GP and nothing else.

Hi there,

Default widgets will show in the sidebar if no widgets are active. This prevents just an empty space from being there.

If you don’t have widgets active on that page, simply remove the sidebar: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/sidebar-layout/
