Remove tagline from home page title

Wasn't that entered in Customizer > Site Identity > Tagline field?
It's possible that I'm missing something obvious here...
Yes, I've set our site's tagline to: Call Us: 01706 840311
Removing it via Customizer > Site Identity > Tagline will remove it from beneath the logo on all pages. I don't want to do this.
ok so you just want to remove it on one page, the home page? Then try this CSS here?

Let me know if I got it right this time.
That removes it from the header and not the <title> attribute though, right?
That will hide it in home page so it can't be seen.
Not quite sure what you meant by removing it from title attribute? Doesn't look like the tagline has a title attribute.

Do you mean the title tag in your browser tab?
If so, you'll want to use a plugin like Yoast SEO which allows you to alter the structure of your title tag.
That's the one yeah. Will check out Yoast SEO.
Thanks!
Sorry for the confusion I've caused here :P
No problem at all :-)
