Remove "Search" and "Archive" from Peak Theme

I am using the Peak Theme, and every page includes a Search box and an "Archive" Menu, which I do not need. I would, however, like to eventually add a menu to a sidebar where these two things are now. How do I get rid of these two items while preserving the ability to add a sidebar menu later?
