Remove footer widgets on posts page

I set Footer Widgets to "0 Widgets" in Edit Page but it does not remove footer widgets from the posts page (all latest posts). This option works on other pages.

WordPress ignores metabox values on all index pages (blog, archive etc).
Are you wanting to hide footer widgets globally? If so use the global setting: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/footer-widgets/#global-setting
