Remove category from URL = 404 page
7 replies · Started by Tibs on June 7, 2020
Whenever I click on menu item from header, /category shows up in URL.
(Example: test.com/category/targus)
So I went to Yoast and removed /category/ from URL. However, whenever I click on the menu item from header, it shows 404 page.
Any idea on how to fix this?
Hi there,
you can update your Peramlink structure in Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks
Hey David,
I'll give that a shot. Another quick question:
Whenever I move an article from Google Docs that has images to WordPress,do I have to re-upload images to WordPress?

I would assume so. Have you tried just testing it?
Yeah it works, but I can't find images in WordPress media library.
Hi there,
You'll definitely want to upload those images to your Media Library and then re-add them to your content. Otherwise, the image URLs will always come from your Google Doc URL.
Got it. Thanks Tom!
No problem :)
