[Resolved] remove author pages

Is there anyway to remove the author pages?

I disabled all author links… I still want to keep the author name (so I don’t want to remove the author in the customizer as recommended here: https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/how-do-i-disable-and-hide-author-site-wide/).

BUT I discovered this: /?author=1 the URL leads to a URL with my username. I am worried about Bots finding this.

Is there either a way to either remove that page altogether or a way to change that URL so it doesn’t have my Username in it?

I tried this BTW and it didn’t work:

Hi there,

The author archives are index pages generated by WordPress automatically.

I’m not sure if it’s possible to remove index pages unfortunately.

You can try checking with WP’s support team.
