Redesign category archive

Good Morning!
We would like to redo our very boring category page design.
Unfortunately, we are not quite sure which GeneratePress "tool" we need for this.
Should I use Generate Press Elements or Generate Blocks (Pro)?
You can see our boring category page here :)

Hi there,
what changes do you want to make ?
Is the design of the individual article ?
Hi David,
we want to change the design/layout of the category archive. But we don't want to use Elementor for that. We have heard that this is also possible with GP "Tools".
You can, and there are a few ways to do it.
My personal preference is to create a custom Content Template for your articles.
You can do this with a Block Element - Content Template and GenerateBlocks.
See here:

Just for clarity - it is the part of your site you will redesign:

If you need to add columns for your archives, then you can enable that in the Customizer > Layout > Blog options.
David, thanks for the two tips. Two questions about this.
As a first step, we would like to display the category pages in two columns, as you suggested. It worked as you can see from the link.

However, we would like to hide the right sidebar for all archives categories. Important: The sidebar should still be visible in the individual posts. Where can we set this?
In the second step we would like to try your option 2 with the Block Element - Content Template and GenerateBlocks.
Do we need additional software here or is the GP Premium 2.0 version sufficient?
It lok like we have to install Generate Blocks but not Generate Block Pro. Right?
1. Customizer > Layout > Sidebar and set the Blgo to just Content
2. You will need the GenerateBlocks plugin. The Free version will do.
David, one last dump question:
as you can see only 5 items are displayed. I know there is a setting for it in the customizer but I can't find it. I would like to increase the number of articles to 6. Can you give me direction on this?
WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Reading, you can set the Blog Page Shows at Most
ok, i think i'm getting old now :-))))
thnx for helping David.
best regards from germany
