Hmm you’ll need some sort of featured post slider plugin.
The most popular is Meta Slider, but I think to do featured post slides you need to pro version.
Do a search for WordPress featured posts slider and you’ll get lots of results – hopefully one will do what you’re looking for.

Currently there’s no easy option to do that.
Of course, you could create your own front-page.php template file in your child theme and build this – but you would have to understand WordPress/HTML/PHP.
I’m working on a plugin that will allow you to display posts in many formats – including what you’re looking at here, but it probably won’t be ready for another few weeks.
