Hi guys, I’ve rebuilt this store which was built using Astra & Elementor to GPP & GBP. I now have a rather large DOM size, is this left over from the previous build or because I built on top using GPP? Anyway of reducing that? TIA

    Hi there,

It’s tough for me to tell.

Does it help if you disable all plugins except GP Premium?

If not then it might be worth checking with your hosting support to see where the DOM size is coming from.

OK thanks, I’ll whip it up on a staging site tomorrow and deactivate all plugins except GPP. Thanks Leo

I set the website up on a staging environment and deactivated all plugins, activating them 1 by 1 and then running it through GTMetrix measuring DOM size with each activation, here is the result…

    GeneratePress Premium – Dom 256
    GenerateBlocks – Dom 356
    GenerateBlocks Pro – Dom 360
    WooCommerce – Dom 413
Added Additional CSS – Dom 413
WooCommerce Stripe Gateway – Dom 413
Rank Math SEO – Dom 413
Rank Math SEO PRO – 413
    Slider Plugin – Dom 1,784

    Think I found the culprit…

    Thanks Leo ๐Ÿ‘

Here’s the scores now for an image heavy woocommerce store built with GeneratePress Pro and GenerateBlocks Pro https://pasteboard.co/JQkpTKE.jpg Fully loaded in 1.0s
