[Support request] Read More Button Inserted into RSS Feed

Hi there,

We recently switched to GP and really love the boost in speed on our site. We’re using Manual Excerpts and code snippets found in this forum to enable the ‘Read More’ button. However, the Read More text is being inserted into the posts in our RSS feed, and subsequently in our automated posts on social media.

Is there a way to have the Read More button enabled but the text won’t be inserted into posts on our feed?

Yes but I’d like to still have a ‘Read More’ button show for articles on our front page. Is that possible?

That code that Leo linked to should only affect your RSS feed – your front page should still display the links normally.

Unfortunately I can’t get the Read More button to show on posts on the front page. Is there another code snippet I need to set up so a Read More button shows on posts with manual excerpts, but not in the RSS feed?
