Read more button in columns

I am displaying the blog using columns.

I would like to show only the image, post title and a read more button.

Is there a way to add a read more button below the post title without showing the excerpt?

I am using excerpts for other areas of the site so it isn't an option to just not use them (I just don't want to show them on the blog and category pages).
