I have accidentally selected the button/switch to minimize font awesome libraray in customize-general. After selecting it, it disappears. I would like to reselect it to be active, so how would i go about doing so?

You would need to install the Font Awesome plugin as FA is no longer a part of the theme/premium plugin:
