I'm not exactly sure what to provide if I'm not sure what you're aiming for.

But here are some information you may need:

Join our newsletter sections are usually opt-in forms and opt-in forms are usually done with forms plugins.

That said, you may have to install and activate a form plugin for your "Join a newsletter" section.

Note: forms plugin normally have their own UI tool to design forms. You can do it from there. :D

Yes that's actually why I mentioned the need for a forms plugin.

It's because you need the form plugin's API so your site's form connects with mailchimp's end-point.

Consider trying MC4WP. :)
