HI there.

I'm having a really hard time getting my head around how featured images work with GP.

Two issues:

1. I have disable featured images and yet if a page has a featured image set, it displays full width above the post. I've not found any settings at all for this featured image on home page.

Is this right? Screenshot link below

2. The second issue I have is with Beaver Themer. I have a CPT and had connected the featured image for the CPT to display in the header. The featured image for each CPT displayed correctly before switching to GP. It no longer displays.

So I guess my question now is -- how integrated is GP with Beaver Themer?

To clarify, Featured Images for blog posts is active. I incorrectly said I had deactivated.

One further clarification (been working too long!).

I meant to say on the CPT that I have an area below the header that was displaying full width background image and was drawing that from the Featured image. The connection is there but it is no longer pulling in the image.

Hi there,

1. That setting is in Customizer > Layout > Page Header > Single Post Header Location

2. Any chance you can link us to the page? Thanks!

Hmm that's very strange. Can you link me to that seminar page so I can take a look at the code possibly?

I guess staging then, yes. What's thrown me is that most things work fine on staging (like Themer for blog posts) but not others.

Note to self: last time using staging for a site!

Now I am going to move to a sub folder as I'm sure all these issues will go away.

Thanks, Tom.

HI Tom,

I cloned site out of staging and into sub folder and all issues resolved.

So sorry for all these questions when they were all related directly to SiteGround staging.

Just getting started with GP after years with Genesis so still learning the new landscape.

Thank you!

No worries! Glad that they're all fixed :)
