Question on blog post queries
3 replies · Started by Christos on May 5, 2022
Hi. I want to show specific posts from my blog, in specific pages. Not just the latest.
A. Is there a way to do that with generatepress?
B. Can I affect the looks? For example, I want the presentation of the posts as seen in the bottom of this page https://www.channeldoubler.com/el/
These are 2 different queries. One shows 2 side by side and the one below shows 4. It doesn't need to be like that but I want to show the title and excerpt and image
Hi there,
historically we would say use the WP Show Posts plugin - which you can still do.
but we just released GenerateBlocks 1.5 Alpha which can do that:
https://generateblocks.com/generateblocks-1-5-dynamic-data-query-loops-image-blocks/
Its in Alpha and it will be a few weeks of testing, debugging before we get to stable release, so do not use it today on a live site.
OK. testing that.
It doesn't show the featured images/ See here https://www.channeldoubler.com/staging/el/ (bottom)
You can add a GenerateBlocks Image Block and set its Dynamic Data options to Current Post and Featured Image.
