Hello,

i have a question about child theme.

In the documentary you wrote:

The only time you risk losing changes is when you make them to the parent theme files or use the Additional CSS field from WordPress.

I have always used a child theme, because of local fonts. I have uploaded the fonts in the child theme and put the necessary css in the child theme css file.

But i also made many changes in the additional css field in the customizer. As for now, without any problems.

So what does this sentence in the quoatation mean?

Hi there,

The Additional CSS field in the customizer (WordPress core function) is attached to the theme itself.

So if you use that field in the parent theme, they would disappear when you activate the child theme and vise versa.

Let me know if this helps :)

Hi Leo,

thanks for explanation. I had a child Theme right from the start, so that is the reason, that i had no problem with that.

No problem :)
