Question about blog design and extra space

Good morning, I am not a designer, but I have a question with the template. I have premium GP Premium: 2.1.1.
Currently in one of my sites I have activated the blog mode and it looks perfect, but I wanted to know if it is possible to have an extra space to add information.
As if it were a landing page but with the grid of at least the last 4 blog entries.

Create that design in paint (I am not a designer). Is there something like what I want in this template?

I want to center the logo but the menu is below and not separated.
