Hi, there! I've got a page on our site that is using query loop to pull in posts from the Workshop category with the default sidebar. However, it's displaying full-width even though I have the page settings for this page set to "Container Width, 1200px", like all of the other pages.

(The current Workshop/Events page in the main nav goes to the category, I'll be removing that).

Any thoughts as to what I may be missing? Login is in the private details below. Thanks!

Hi Jason,

The log in requires an Authentication code, I'm not able to log in.

But as I inspected this page, it's set tofull width.

You can check 2 places:
1. Layout meta box in the page editor, check if it's set to full width as content container option:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/layout-metabox-overview/#where-is-it

2. Go to Appearance > Elements, check if there's a layout element which set content container to full width and this page is included in its location.

Let me know if this helps :)

Hi, Ying-- Sorry about that, but I've disabled 2FA. =)

And I did find there was an element that was designating the page width to full, but when I changed that to "Contained" it made my homepage hero and the element on the bottom of the other pages contained, but I need those full. So I reverted that for now.

Can you see if you can get in and take a look? I appreciate it!!

Full width option doesn't work well when there's a sidebar.

Do most of your pages have sidebar or not?

No, just the Workshops and Events page, and posts. Honestly, I really don't care for sidebars in this case. I just turned it off and it looks ok now!

That's a solution :)

The other solution is to exclude these 2 pages from the layout element's display rule if you want the sidebar for the 2 pages :)

Thanks, Ying, I appreciate your help! =)

No problem :)
