Properly size images - Mobile

Hello

I am receiving a warning in Google Page Speed for the size of my site logo on mobile.

It doesn't seem to be affecting any other images other than the logo, and only on mobile.

I've seen some of the historic support tickets of people with similar issue, but these have all been down to an issue with the image block - so not sure how best to solve this

Thanks

Hi there,

your logo image is over 3000px wide. If you want to remove the warning then you will need to upload a smaller image to your site and use that instead.... Note: When uploading a new image - make sure to change the filename as WP as habit of caching the old logo if it has the same filename.

Alternatively for that logo you may want to look at adding an SVG version. To upload SVGs you will need to install the Safe SVG plugin.

Hi David

Wow 3000px wide - Imsanity must have missed it.

With regards loading the logo as a SVG, I did attempt this but with SafeSVG but for some reason my logo svg is 64kb and a resized png >10kb

ooh thats a complex SVG then... if the png looks good then go with that :)
