Progress Bar at the bottom of the sticky menu

Is there an easy way to create a progress bar under the sticky menu that indicates the progress while scrolling down? I found a HTML, CSS and JS Template but wanted to ask if there is an even easier way to do this.

There isn't unfortunately. JS is definitely required as far as I understand.

I realised it now with this plugin --> https://wordpress.org/plugins/reading-progress-bar/. Wouldn't it be a favorable feature for generatepress?

Something like that would belong in the plugin territory for now.

This isn't something we will be adding to GP - we only add features that could be useful for the majority of our users in order to keep our products lightweight and optimized.

The plugin suggested above have good reviews so I'd just go with that.
