    Dear Support,

In my website product is getting linked to product category. here is the page I am referring to https://blissfulweddingfeet.com.au/product-category/bridesmaids-flip-flops/ (Product in middle: Bridesmaids Flip Flops does not link to Product but other are linked properly)
and here https://prnt.sc/ro7jm5 is the screenshot.

If I edit the product and view product it shows correctly but when I am displaying a category in website it is showing like this. Same problem is with samanta tiara product-> https://blissfulweddingfeet.com.au/product-category/flower-girl-cz-crystal-tiaras/, (https://prnt.sc/ro7na1)

Please let me know the fix for this. You can mark this ticket if you want the credentials of my website.

    Looking forward!

    Regards

    Hi there,

the first issue is probably due to the product and the category having identical names. Try changing the product name to something unique.

The second issue with the Tiara – seems a bit peculiar if the product and category names are different.

    Have you tried rebuilding permalinks?
Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks – hit Save a couple of times.

    Hi,

I have checked as per the instructions and there are no products and categories names conflicting to each other. Also I have saved the permalinks couple of times but still the same result.

Kindly check the following pages for the issues.

    https://blissfulweddingfeet.com.au/product-category/shades-of-white-garter/
    https://blissfulweddingfeet.com.au/product-category/flower-girl-cz-crystal-tiaras/
    https://blissfulweddingfeet.com.au/product-category/bridesmaids-flip-flops/

Let me know how i can fix this.

    Regards

    Hi there,

hmmm the Theme isn’t responsible for how URLs are handled its a WP thing but maybe its a transients issue … can you go to Dashboard > Woocommerce > Status –> Tools and click Clear Transients for both the WooCommerce transients and Expired transients

    Hi,
Thak you for your response. I tried making permalinks as plain then also same issue. I changed the product name and category still the same. Do you have any idea what is causing this issue?

I have Cleared Transients for both the WooCommerce transients and Expired transients.

Your help will be sincerely appreciated.

Apart from going through the database and clearing out any old slugs i can’t think what the issue would be. Might be worth just stepping through ( and repeating ) some of the obvious things again:

    1. Disable all other plugins aside of GPP and Woo to see if there is a conflict. Unlikely but one never knows.
    2. Disable any child theme – see if there are any custom functions at work. Again unlikely.
    3. Disable and Plugin / Server Caches and then try Clearing the Transients and Rebuilding Permalinks.

If that don’t work then you can look for and remove Old Slugs – this plugin can do that:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/remove-old-slugspermalinks/

PLEASE Backup the site before doing this last option…

Last resort – what happens if you remove those products and start them from scratch with new slugs ?

    Hi David,

    First option worked for me.

    Thank you.
