problem with update and footer widget settings

I am using GP Premium 1.2.81. Yesterday WP notified me of an update to 82 or 83. When I tried to update it failed. It was around midnight so I thought maybe a server was busy. I look at it today and it does not show an update available and I am still using version 81.

Second issue:
I edited a page and selected '0 Footer Widgets' for that page. When I update it doesn't keep the change and goes back to 'Global Footer Widget' Settings.

2. Interesting, can you go to the "Pages" area and find the page that doesn't update. Click "Quick Edit" and then set the "Template" to "Default Template".

Save and try again.

Hi Tom,
I went to quick edit and the template field was blank. I set it to default template then went into edit and tried again to set footer widget to 0 and the same thing happened, it reset to global footer widget settings.
I have a plug-in installed from Benchmark Email. It adds a function that allows the author to send page update notices to a selected email list on an offsite email service. Could that be causing a problem?

Hi Tom,

More weirdness. If I select 1 Footer Widget, the selection stays after I update. But then if I select 0 Footer Widgets, is returns to the Global Footer Widget setting.

If I want to test if the Benchmark Email Plugin is causing problems, can I just deactivate it or should I delete it completely?

Hi,
I'm m using GP's latest version 2020. Yesterday I updated text in the footer 1 widget and today for some reason when I change the text in that same widget the text does not update on the page, the information that was there yesterday stays unchanged.

Can anyone tell me why this is happening, please, because this is very frustrating when you are trying to update old information and it doesn't want to change.
