Problem with Header and Social Media Icon
5 replies · Started by Marvin on January 25, 2020
Hello,
i would like to deltet the space between header and topbar and the content of the site.
Looks strange right now.
Then I would like to stretch the slider and the header to full size of the homepage. (Only these two parts, not the complete website).
And i would like to delte the social media icons in the footer.
There are no icons in my template but at the final site.
Kind regards
Hi there,
1. Header - you can remove the padding and set the Header to Full width:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/header-layout-overview/
2. I am not seeing the Slider ? Can you link me to a page.
3. Also not seeing any Social Icons - on your site? Maybe the browser cache needs clearing.
Hello,
thanks for your fast help.
Please see in the link to the slidder.

At the end of the site you can see some icons from titter and facebook on the left side.
Kind regards
OK - the page is built with Elementor.
So you can set the GP Page Builder Container to Full Width:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/page-builder-container/
Then in Elementor you can choose Full Width Section for the Slider and not full width for the other sections.
Looks like those Social Icons are coming from the Jetpack plugin.
Hello again,
I did the changes to the slidder like you told me, but there is still a white space on all sides. The colour on the left and rght side is maybe the colour of the slidder background, but i cant change it. My menu looks way differnt then the one in the link. There is no link to change colours and under colours there is no option to change the colours.
The space between the main menu and the slider and the topbar didnt change at all, i dont have the menu there to change the header padding.
Kind regards
If you're not seeing the options in the customizer the go to Dashboard > Appearance > GeneratePress and make sure you have the different modules enabled.
For the Slider - this is now all under Elementors controls.
Select the Section containing the slider and on the left hand setting panel change the Content Width to Full Width
