Problem with aligning GP Dynamic Image
7 replies · Started by Adrian on May 9, 2021
1. I created a custom bio using your Dynamic Blocks.
See below post: https://upjourney.com/best-books-by-brene-brown
All elements (name, author description) align well to centered but now the profile image. They are all in the same container.
Can you please advise how to also align the image?
2. As a related issue is it possible to display the author's description by keeping the formatting in the wp-admin profile without having to use html? The line breaks seem to be gone from displaying it this way. This was working fine before moving from Kadence to GeneratePress.
Thank you.
Hi there,
1. Not sure if I'm seeing the issue here:

Is that not what you are seeing?
Let's handle one question per topic please.
Thanks!
The problem is below the post.

Sorry about that. Will move #2 to its own thread.
You would need to add the avatar and author name in its own container and turn on the inline post meta option:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/block-element-post-meta-template/#generateblocks-container-settings
I don't want them on the same line.
Here is a screenshot with what I had before: https://gyazo.com/1a4801cc57babd5b3af34615112ad92a
I don't need the line on the left and right of the image but I want the image aligned center on it's own line.
Thanks.
Try adding the image within its own container and set the alignment on the container to center.
Adding to its own container + inline + center solved it.
Thanks.
No problem :)
