Can you explain why my 404 error page looks like this:GP Premium 1.3.1June 20, 2017 at 7:39 am #336242LeoStaffCustomer Support
That’s a bit strange. Can you please try #1 on this page?
Thanks!June 20, 2017 at 7:48 am #336251Yael
I deactivated every plugin but GP Premium and the issue still exists.June 20, 2017 at 7:57 am #336256Yael
Perhaps it’s related to this being a staging site on SiteGround but why is the rest of the site fine?
I activated core WP theme 2015 and the issue went away.June 20, 2017 at 8:00 am #336257LeoStaffCustomer SupportJune 20, 2017 at 8:13 am #336264Yael
I did deactivate all the plugins and the page displayed the same; I’ve now reactivated them.
Is there anything special I need to do with GP for the 404 error page?
just thought by default it would display correctly but perhaps not.June 20, 2017 at 8:15 am #336268LeoStaffCustomer Support
No there shouldn’t be anything you have to set up.
Currently I see these erorrs: https://s11.postimg.org/rwvgjhfxf/2017-06-20_0814.png
Any custom functions that might be causing this?June 20, 2017 at 8:18 am #336269Yael
I have a feeling the issue is related to SiteGround’s staging feature. I’ve had issues before.
I’ll try to resolve when site has been pushed to live. For now I created a Beaver Themer 404 page.June 20, 2017 at 8:19 am #336270LeoStaffCustomer SupportJune 20, 2017 at 8:20 am #336272Yael
That’s really weird! Even the Beaver Themer 404 is not being applied.
I’ve been working too many hours today (going on 10). I’m going to let this rest for the evening.
Something really bizarre is going but I can’t sort it tonight.June 20, 2017 at 9:04 am #336295TomLead DeveloperLead Developer
Your resources (CSS files) are pointing to this domain: https://blueprint.greggray.com
So the CSS that builds the grid/layout of the site is pointing here, which doesn’t exist: https://blueprint.greggray.com/wp-content/themes/generatepress/css/unsemantic-grid.css?ver=1.3.48
Definitely looks like something to do with the staging?June 20, 2017 at 9:19 am #336313Yael
Thanks, Tom, that is what I suspected. I’ve had issues before with SiteGround’s staging. Just curious as to why this only happens with the 404 error page while the rest of the site loads fine.
Only issue is with 404 page.
Anyway, I’m going to move the site out of staging and into sub folder and I’m certain the issue will be resolved.
Thanks for the clarification.June 20, 2017 at 9:25 am #336315
