hello, I performed the procedure to remove the word category from the url by doing these steps.
Log in to the WordPress dashboard.
Go to Configuration >> Permanent Link
Select the custom structure and paste /% category% /% postname% /
Make a change to the base of the category, put a period (.) There.
Save your changes.
now the problem is in the subcategories, when I click from the menu, the page not found warning appears. I also noticed that if I delete the parent category in the url, leaving only that daughter, everything works, but I would like it to appear with the mother category anyway.
example https://namesite/parent category/daughter category/ = no work
https://namesite/daughter category/ = work
Hi there,
theres nothing we can do about that as the Theme doesn't control or interfere with permalinks structures.
and there are many issues related to that method of removing the category base.
I would recommend you use an SEO plugin to make those kinds of changes.
