    Hi there.
I apologize for my English, I know it’s not the best…
After update GP to the last version (3.1.0) I’m not able to change fonts.
Before, I changed the fonts as yuo suggested here: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/adding-local-fonts/
Today I tried to modify my website, but I’m not able to change the fonts.
I’m not able to change system fonts, too.
    Please, may you help me?
    Thank you.

    Hi Enrico,

Haven’t got any report like this yet, we’ll need to do some debugging process.

Can you try disable all plugins and switch to parent theme see if the issue still exists?

    Let me know πŸ™‚

Maybe start a staging site is a safer way to go? After all I don’t want to crash your live site as well.. lol

Unfortunately I’m a beginner in this case. I’m not able to do a staging site πŸ™

Usually your host should be able to create a staging site for you, if not, you can use a plugin like WP staging to create it.

Once the staging site is created, send us the admin log in using the private info field, we will be doing testing on that staging site.

    Keep us updated!

    Hi Enrico,

I noticed that there’s no variants set for the fonts.

Can you try activate the google fonts, then add a variant to it like this for all 3 fonts:
    https://www.screencast.com/t/XgjEvfLSfyoS

Then remove the variant, deactivate the google fonts, the typography should work. (It’s working now on staging site)

Let me know if you need further assistance πŸ™‚

    Hello Ying,
I’m sorry to reopen this tiket, and to be here again…
I realize just now that the issue is still there.
Following your suggestions I can change the fonts, but it works well only in the back-end.
The fonts doesn’t change in the front-end.
May you have a look, please?
    Thanks a lot!

Your child theme is not working correctly. If you go to Appearance > Themes you will see the Incomplete warning.
Can you try installing a new Child Theme ?
