    Hi guys,

I just updated my website to the latest versions of:

    Generatepress Theme 3.1.0
    Generatepress Pro 2.1.0
    Generateblocks 1.4.0
    Generateblocks Pro 1.1.0

but now I have a bit problem because many of my pages lost the title and button for more information in the hero section. The hero section is supposed to look like this: https://mayangateway.com/traditional-maya-markets/

But now, many of them have lost the title and the button in the hero section and they look like this: https://mayangateway.com/culinary-break-antigua/

In my WordPress all the pages look normal, so I have purged all cache in CloudFlare and of course I have also purged all cache in my devices.

Before I installed the updates on my live website I did it on my staging environment, but everything went ok.

I hope you guys can check on this as soon as you can because this happened on my live website, before the updates my website was all right.

My website has over 180 pages, I would take a long time to fix page by page, I hope there is a solution for this!

Thank you in advance for your help.

I’ve also created a video in Loom so that you guys see the problem: https://www.loom.com/share/711c60c7021a4c5fa45932213ca32a7d

The hero section is suppose to look like this: https://mayangatewayimages.b-cdn.net/Screen%20Shot%202021-10-27%20at%2011.42.50.png

Instead it loos like this, just the background image: https://mayangatewayimages.b-cdn.net/Screen%20Shot%202021-10-27%20at%2011.43.15.png

It also creates a CLS issue.

Perhaps the problem comes from the new Flex function https://mayangatewayimages.b-cdn.net/Screen%20Shot%202021-10-27%20at%2012.33.21.png??

This is a big problem because it happened on my live website, I’ve already used the whole morning trying to find a solution. Would you guys please check on this as soon as get this?

    Thank you

I think I may found a solution, but the problem is I don’t know whether a temporary solution this is:

I have updated every single page with the problem (I had to checked all the pages to do this) by clicking update without making any changes. I just clicked like when we do when we save changes here: https://mayangatewayimages.b-cdn.net/Screen%20Shot%202021-10-27%20at%2014.04.12.png

After doing that, the issue disappeared and it is possible to see the text and button in the hero section. But I’m not sure if this is a permanent solution? I’m not sure because in a couple of pages I had to do it twice.

Sorry i wasn’t online sooner – it would have been good to see the code behind the issue.
If i was to make a guess it looks like Background Image elements z-index got messed up – pushing the image in front of the content. Which may have just been a cached CSS issue.

If something like that occurs again, try Regenerating the CSS in Dashboard > GenerateBlocks > Settings.

    Hi David,

I understand, no problem. That is exactly how it looked when I opened the pages, it seems that the background image was pushed to the front of the content for a fraction of a second, which also caused CLS.

There is one page that I’ve forgot ‘to fix’. I’m a no-coder, but you could see the issue here: https://mayangateway.com/privacy-policy/
As you may see in the hero section, the content has disappeared in the live website. I’m going to wait for you to see it before I update it to fix it.

I guess now that there is only one page left with the issue which I can fix by clicking on update, I should wait to try Regenerating the CSS unless the issue occurs again, right?

I will monitor the website for one or two more days to make sure the issued is resolved

Yeah something went a bit whacky with the CSS… the inside-container is missing the CSS properties that position it over the background. May have just been a caching glitch. Would you mind leaving that page as is ? I would like to share with Tom just in case there is something we need to address.

It is the privacy policy page, so I can leave it this page as is. Just please, let me know when you guys don’t need it anymore so I can click on update to fix it.

    Hi there,

Confirmed bug in GenerateBlocks Pro when using Advanced Backgrounds – thanks for letting us know!

Simply saving the page (as you’ve found out) will fix it permanently. We’ll be releasing 1.1.1 with the fix for people who haven’t gone through and saved their pages.

    Thanks again!
