Preview Not Showing GeneratePress Layout Changes

I am running Windows 10, GeneratePress Premium v.2.1.1, WordPress v. 5.8.3. GeneratePress theme is v. 3.1.0.
I originally had a page with a left sidebar that I wanted to move to the right. I made the following changes:
1. In GeneratePress layout, transferred text and links from left sidebar widget to right
sidebar widget. Deleted the left sidebar widget.
2. Changed GeneratePress layout from sidebar/content to content/sidebar.
3. Re-arranged menu items
4. Removed title.
5. Saved all changes
The results looked fine, so I went back to the WordPress editor and previewed the page. The left sidebar was still present, though without text. The right sidebar was not showing. The menu had not changed. The title was still present.
I tried the following:
1. Cleared browser data. Retested.
2. Deleted all unwanted/unused plugins. Retested.
3. Updated all plugins as required. Retested.
4. Deactivated all plugins. Retested.
5. Installed and ran clear cache plugin (WP Super Cache). Retested.
6. Ran WordPress in a different browser. Retested.
7. Updated GeneratePress from version 2.0.2 to 2.1.1: Retested.
None of these things resulted in the preview showing my recent layout changes, even though they continued to display correctly in the GeneratePress Customize settings.
Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this?
Hi there,
Any chance you can disable all plugins except GP Premium to eliminate conflicts from other plugins first?
Sidebars shouldn't show in the page editor anyways.
Let me know :)
Yes, I've tried that. It's also interesting that my custom CSS is not working either.
Yes, I know the sidebars don't show in the page editor. They don't show up correctly in preview mode, nor in the published version of the page.
But I just discovered that if I publish the page from the GeneratePress layout editor, it works, including the CSS. This is obviously not the best solution.
So this issue exists when GP Premium is the only activated plugin?
If so can you activate a Twenty series WP theme to test if the issue exists there as well?
