Hi Tom,

I notice that the "Preview Changes" in my wordpress doesn't work anymore. I can only see the changes made to the page only after clicking the "Update" followed by the button "Preview Changes".

I wonder if you have come across this issue, and is able to advise on this.

Thank you.

I know that the current build of Sections does some weird things to the preview button, which is why I'm completely rebuilding it.

If you disable the Sections add-on, does the issue go away?

Hi Tom,

I only use section on my main page at http://www.ioanything.com
The rest of the webpage is not using the feature "section".
I am facing this issue for all the pages.
Is this related to your observation?

Thanks.

When you disable the Sections add-on all together, does it still happen?

Before I disable it...
I need to ask.
Will my page content and layout be gone?
Can I retrieve it back later?

It will be gone until you re-activate it.

Once it's reactivated, your content and layout will be back :)

Of course, if you're worried you should take a database backup (never a bad idea).

same problem observed after I deactivate the "section".

Hi Tom,

While doing troubleshooting for the "Preview Changes" problem,
I attempt to deactivate a few of my plugin on the Generatepress theme, and realised all my other pages cannot be loaded up.
Only the homepage is not affected.

Then I activate back, expecting that it will revert back.
But it never came back.

Now all my pages cannot be loaded except for the home page.

Would appreciate your help in this.

All pages are loading for me except for Product, and that's because you have a folder named product on your server.

Hi Tom,

The Wordpress suppose to use the permalinks first.
I think it go for the folder first then permalink.
Because when the "product" folder is renamed, the page can load.
It used to be permalink first, and folder is a 2nd priority.
Is there any way to change the priority?

It used to work properly, until I start to disable some plug-in when troubleshooting the "Preview Changes" issue.

My other site "www.pic-control.com" is also a similar setup but is working fine.

Now still facing the problem.
Any idea how this can be resolved?
Thank you.

I don't think there's any way to change the priority.

Pretty sure servers will always choose to navigate to the folder first, and then the WordPress link as it's using mod_rewrite.

You can check with your hosting company to see if they have any ideas, but I think you'll have to change one of the names so they don't conflict.

But then how come it works for the past 2 months?
Strange?
It can recover when I enable one of the option in "all-in-one-wp-security" plug-in.
It actually works, permalinks has a priority over the folders.

There must be some setting in that plugin that does it.

If you don't want to use the plugin, ask your hosting - they might have a way to do it :)

I have asked them, but they (site5) don't have an idea.
They also said the same thing.
