Premium installation problem: style.css stylesheet missing

I do have caching and didn't disable it. And I didn't disable all of my plugins. I don't think these are causing the issue, but if you think I might be wrong about that, let me know and I'll do the work.
When I try to install from the zip file it says:
Installing Theme from uploaded file: gp-premium-1.10.0.zip
Unpacking the package…
Installing the theme…
The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.
Theme installation failed.
I tried downloading another copy and had the same result.
I'm a bit of a dummy. I had "customize" opened in a different tab when I was trying to install it. I assume it had a resource locked that the installation needed.

GP Premium is actually a plugin, not a theme. It needs to be installed in the "Plugins" area of your Dashboard: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/missing-style-css/
