Preferences of an imported demo site

Does every demo site (visual theme) imported from the Site Library have a preferred dimension for featured-images? For example, the Marketer theme seems to like 700x400 that it auto-shrinks in the list display while showing full-size in the actual post.

Avery featured image size is 760px.
Is it for all the themes/demo sites from the Site Library or Marketer alone?
It really depends on the content container size of the site you are referring to.
Generally speaking, it should be good as long as the width of the original image is the same or slightly larger than the content container size:
