Preferences in Block Editor

I know this isn't directly GeneratePress related but I'm hoping you guys know
is there a way to lock the preferences in the block editor?
For example, in the preferences, I uncheck some panels that I don't want to see.
But when I come back the next day. those settings have gone back to default and the panels show again
have you guys come across this and do you know how to lock in those changes?

The WordPress Editor uses the Browsers localStorage to store the preferences ( which i believe they are looking at changing ). Problem with this method, if the browser Cookies ( and local storage ) are cleared, then you can lose your preferences.
One user pointed out they were using FireFox Beta, and that seems to clear localStorage more regularly - and they found every time they logged in and out of the site thy would lose preferences.

You’d have thought they would have changed that seeing developers clear cookies etc often 🤷♂️
